For California, $292 million has been designated for the Home Efficiency Rebates (HOMES) Program, which will offer rebates to people looking to implement energy-saving upgrades into their homes. Be sure to do your own research to learn more and to discover how you can benefit from these rebates.

Energy Efficiency Tax Credit

Also created by the Inflation Reduction Act, you could claim a 30% tax credit when you make certain energy-efficient upgrades to your home, such as by upgrading to a more efficient HVAC system. Although this isn’t a rebate, this is a way you can save money by switching to a system that uses less energy, lowering your energy bill.
